This senior attorney will support the Consumer & Business banking businesses, specifically supporting the Executive in charge of the Marketing, Fair Lending and the Mortgage businesses.
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:



Lead review of marketing materials and disclosures

Provide support and analysis of potential UDAP issues

Review the servicing of consumer products from a UDAP perspective

Assist in the management of a fair lending program

Provide ongoing legal representation on the fair lending team

Provide ongoing management of the fair lending credit policy

Assist in responding to potential fair lending complaints

Assist in the development of a more streamlined customer compliant process


Qualifications

JD with 10+ years of related experience with a top law firm or financial services company

Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework governing banks

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Experience working with all levels of senior management

Ability to work as a team member, maintain project timelines, manage and prioritize multiple legal initiatives and commitments


Hours and Work Schedule

Hours per Week:   40


Work Schedule:    Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

This Sr. Counsel position will exist to provide legal support to the Retail Bank Executives and to act as a team leader for the Retail Legal team.
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:



Provide legal advice to the Retail Bank Executives

Provide ongoing support for retail deposit products

Advise on compliance with Reg E and the UCC

Assist on an overdraft strategy

Assist on implementation of Dodd Frank changes

Manage the Retail Banking Legal team

Streamline Legal response to Branch calls, subpoenas and levies


Qualifications

JD with 10+ years related experience with a top law firm or financial services organization

Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework governing banks

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Experience working with all levels of senior management

Ability to work as a team member, maintain project timelines, manage and prioritize multiple legal initiatives and commitments
