Responsibilities

Responsible for generating sales of Home Equity Lines of Credit and Home Equity Loans through leads and applications obtained, but not limited through Internet based partners, bank website, retail branch network, internal phone referrals, and other direct to customer campaigns.  Through timely and responsive customer contact; needs based selling techniques; and by adhering to all applicable guidelines, meet production and customer satisfaction targets.
COMMUNICATION/TECHNOLOGY Determine the customer’s financial objectives using needs based sales processes, review the customer’s lending needs, structure an appropriate loan commitment which meets their needs and conforms to credit policy, and provide the client with their customized loan solution. Coordinate with the customer or third parties for information and document gathering and scheduling issues. Follow customer loans through the loan life cycle; track and monitor leads, prepare projection reports, and maintain an active referral base. Effectively collaborate with Loan Processing, Underwriting, Compliance, and other internal Home Equity departments as necessary to ensure all loan conditions are met in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain expertise in loan origination system(s) to ensure timely and accurate processing. Provide clear, concise, and customer-focused communication throughout the process and insure that the customer is provided with current updates on the status of their request.  
SUPERVISORY/ADMINISTRATIVE Monitor workflow from application to closing. Maintain extensive knowledge of equity products, policies and procedures, industry standards and guidelines, as they relate to National Home Equity. Forecasting monthly closings and compare to goals.  
GOALS/STANDARDS Responsible for meeting production standards as established by the manager of the area. Responsible for timely delivery of underwriting decisions. Responsible for total quality and accuracy of loan packages, i.e., HMDA, Fraud Reviews, Quality Control, and Compliance. Maintain superior customer service levels.  

Qualifications

College education desired.  High School education mandatory.  Strong sales experience desired Mortgage or Home Equity experience preferred Knowledge of Home Equity, Consumer Lending, and/or Mortgage Lending is preferred. Ability to work independently Superior organization and time management skills Results oriented with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in high pace environment Ability to work successfully in a team to accomplish goals Proficiency PC skills, including MS Office, preferred Successful candidate must meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the required background checks and obtaining a Unique Identifier from the NMLRS.

Hours and Work Schedule

Hours per Week:   40

Work Schedule:    Varies; This position will have a required late night and also a weekend schedule.
