This position performs complex reconciliations, control (quality and financial) and reporting functions.  May prepare general ledger entries to record complex financial activity, research unusual balances, items, or transactions.  May perform other accounting duties assigned and assist with month-end Close.  Maintain functional procedures for assigned tasks.  Works more independently and requires less supervision.  Participate on projects/special assignments as needed. 
This role is responsible for the assisting in the balancing and reconciling the less routine general ledger, DDA and suspense accounts as well as accounting associated with Intercompany settlement.  Accurately calculates month end accruals and journal entries to properly reflect the P&L.    Prepares and analyzes spreadsheets and databases which support accounting calculations.  Processes invoices, communicates with vendors and interacts with various internal departments.  Partners with Senior Staff Accountants to work on projects to implement more efficient processes within the unsecured team.  Supports functions and covers for other Staff Accountants.      Works more independently and requires less supervision.
