Senior Quantitative Analyst – Property Secured Credit Risk
The Property Secured Credit Risk team is responsible for analytics, originations strategy & policy, and portfolio management for the RBS Citizens Mortgage and Home Equity lending portfolio.
The Senior Quantitative Analyst will support the design, development, and execution of portfolio risk analytics utilizing a range of analysis tools such as SAS, Excel, and Access. Develop and maintain project plans; lead small to medium-sized projects and/or sub-projects to coordinate completion of project deliverables and achieve implementation of data warehouse solutions.

Coordinate and facilitate regular project meetings, developing meeting agendas, minutes, and other appropriate materials.

Collect and validate sign-offs on all project deliverables.

3) Business Analysis / Requirements Gathering



Schedule, lead and document interviews with all the stakeholders and document how the project impacts them and what their needs, concerns and impact is for the project to flush out their requirements. Captures risks and concerns during requirements sessions.

Facilitate design meetings and requirements gathering sessions.

Understand the various components of the data warehouse environment so as to guide decision-making regarding design options and tradeoffs.

Create and fully document high level and very detailed requirements, specifications, business process flows for current and future state business process.

Develop process models, diagrams, and other business detailed requirements documents.

Document business, technical, security, risk, standards, and other requirements as applicable.

Documents functional and technical specs, including documentation of complex business rules.

Create and maintain system documentation including metadata, mapping files, end user documentation, and production turnover documentation.

4) Testing



Understand both business and technical considerations and dependencies for testing business intelligence / data warehouse solutions.

Facilitate process of obtaining test files from data providers and providing test files to downstream recipients, in compliance with information security requirements and using standard secure file transmission techniques.

Coordinate with data warehouse developers to manage test data loads and creation of test reports, dashboards, extracts, or other output files.

Create use cases, test cases, and test scripts for each requirement showing how you will know if the requirement was met (success criteria for all requirements.)

Lead testing efforts for software components and BI solutions through multiple test environments and using standard testing tools.

Engage business users to participate in testing and data validation efforts.

As needed, perform independent ad hoc data and report validation to confirm desired functionality.

Track and communicate testing / validation issues and assist team in identifying root causes.

Document test results following standard methodology and templates.

5) Implementation



Understand both business and technical considerations and dependencies for implementing business intelligence / data warehouse solutions.

Participates in defining and/or executing implementation plans, contingency plans, testing, problem reporting, and other implementation tasks.

Create production implementation requests in ticketing system and manage approval and execution thereof.

Ensure implementation is timed and sequenced so as to minimize disruption to business users and maximize business value of implemented solution.

Coordinate effective production turnover of solutions being implemented, including knowledge transfer sessions and appropriate documentation.

Facilitate planning and execution of user training and communication on new or modified functionality within the data warehouse environment.

 Occasional travel to regional offices and vendor sites (RI, MA) may be required.
