At RBS Citizens, I’m a person first, an employee second.
And basketball’s not just a hobby I have outside of work.
It’s who I am.
Competitive. Committed. Collaborative.
No one asks what playing Point Guard has to do with handling millions of dollars in international transactions.
They know.
I’m cool under pressure.
Make split-second decisions.
And motivate my team in ‘huddles’ – just like I do on the court.
My ambitions? Group Operational Manager in a few years.
And a better average from the free-throw line.
They know I’m a Senior Teller and so much more.
They know what makes me, me.
Being part of my choir.
The freedom and flexibility I enjoy at RBS Citizens means I can sing in my group and make a difference in the community.
I listen to people.
Help out wherever I can.
And spread the odd smile or two.
Just like I do Monday to Friday for my customers.
And the future? Becoming a manager of my own branch, as well as hitting the high C’s in my solo.
At RBS Citizens, I love my job but it doesn’t completely define me.
What I do outside of the office is just as important.
I take my dog Tucker, a trained therapy dog to visit people in need across the local community.
He helps make a difference.
And I get to connect with people.
Which is what I love doing Monday to Friday with my team.
It’s my way of giving something back.
Something RBS Citizens respects.
What next? Well, as my role evolves, I’d like to get involved on a global level.
And continue to play my part in the community.
RBS Citizens knows there’s more to me than meets the eye.
I might look like a Branch Manager in a suit.
But I’m an all-action rock climber too.
Full of energy, drive and passion.
The bigger the challenge, the tougher the going, the better.
Bring it on.
I’m working my way up to the top: from Teller to Branch Manager in 4 years.
And hopefully onto regional manager.
I’ve also got my sights firmly set on conquering the Appalachian Trail.
It’s not just what I do, it’s who I am that’s important to RBS Citizens.
That’s their way.
I’m a triathlete who happens to build networks.
Focused, dedicated and ultra competitive.
I push myself hard to succeed.
That feeling of crossing the finish line can only be matched by the moment I complete a complex programming project.
And then I’m on to the next challenge.
Becoming a Solutions Architect. That’s my next goal.
Alongside improving my personal best.
