Responsibilities

The Senior IT Assurance Professional will assist in the delivery of a world class IT Assurance Test Program for a centralized technology organization.   They will be an IT Risk and Control subject matter expert requiring a broad exposure to and understanding of technology.  They will act as a point of escalation for Business Unit Risk Managers, Management, Business Partners, and team members.  They will need to be an adept and diplomatic communicator capable of managing discussions with conflicting points of view; capable of discussing potential concerns on a detailed technical level with technical support and at a higher business level with management and less technical colleagues.
The Senior IT Assurance Professional is responsible for performing the review, managing all notifications, status communication and reporting associated with a review.  They are responsible for ensuring that all assessments are completed on time and in compliance with internal and best practice standards; and that all risk assessment reports are produced to a consistently high quality. 
The Senior IT Assurance Professional will also play an active role in the continuous improvement of the Risk Team’s processes and procedures, in the expansion of the team’s testing program, and in the development of other team members.  They will demonstration strong leadership skills and interpersonal awareness that encourages open feedback and colleague affinity.
Business Management & Planning: Create, implement, and deliver on operational plans aligned with the quarterly, semi-annual, and annual test program target dates and deliverables. Contribute ideas, innovations and insights based upon knowledge and understanding of IT, IT risks and controls, personal experience, research, and observation.
Process/Continuous Improvement: To initiate and support process improvement activity and help to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Customer Service: To champion strong customer service attitudes and values.
Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peer-level stakeholders across the business so that these contribute both to the effective operation of the business unit as well as the development of the unit business plan.

Qualifications

Advanced analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation and experience fielding questions
Advanced knowledge of MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint
 Excellent interpersonal skills
In depth knowledge of financial services industry
 Bachelor Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
 
Knowledge:
Direct experience or exposure to the following technologies:  UNIX, Mainframe, Wintel, various database platforms,  web application architecture,  .Net and classic programming languages. Experience with Cobit, GLBA/SOX/PCI testing requirements required, including application and database attacks, malware, penetration and vulnerability testing In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and risk management principles.  
Experience:
7-10 years professional experience, preferably in a financial services environment 5-7 years risk experience, preferably in a technology environment Proven experience with highly complex risk issues in a technology environment Experience implementing or evaluating IT Controls A background in IT Audit, IT Risk, or Information Security is preferred.  
Certifications Desired: CISA, CISSP, SSCP, CEH, or CISM
 

Hours and Work Schedule

Hours per Week:   40

Work Schedule:    Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
