Responsibilities

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. seeks a Credit Business & Data Analyst for its Cranston, RI location.
 Duties: Perform quantitative analysis utilizing knowledge of financial accounting and loan accounting systems, and quantitative data sourced from such applications, to implement database queries and analyze their results to determine business’s exposure to credit risks such as loans, leases, and letters of credit. Utilize operating systems including MS Access, TOAD, Aqua Data Studio, ODBC, and IBM DB2 to design and develop database query tools to compute credit risk. Utilize SQL to query the data in the Risk Data Repository (RDR), Outbound HUB and Operational Data Store (ODS). Utilize Quality Center to analyze and log defects related to the processes intrinsic and extrinsic to Risk Data Platform (RDP). Use ERWIN Data Modeling to make model changes to the physical and logical data models in RDR. Analyze exposure based on knowledge of principles related to the computation of credit risk, including the calculation of on-balance and off-balance sheet exposures. Research and document Basel business requirements and high-level design and technical specifications for the bank’s RDP, with a primary focus on credit data used for financial disclosures, capital management and risk reporting. Partner with source system experts to ensure that credit data is accurately sourced into the data warehouse and extracted to meet Basel advanced data management requirements. Design controls for data that is sourced into and out of the RDP. Perform lineage on key Basel data elements from source to RDP to outbound feed to RBS. Research and analyze queries from RDP’s customer master data management application (Websphere Customer Center) users.
 

Qualifications

Must have Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related, plus three (3) years of experience in position offered or related business systems analyst position.  Will also accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related, followed by five years of progressive experience in position offered or related business systems analyst position.  Full term of experience must include designing/developing database queries for business systems analysis; and using ERWIN Data Modeling, SQL, IBM DB2, MS Access, Aqua Data Studio, Quality Center, and the Websphere Customer Center.
