The incumbent completes a variety of regulatory and clerical tasks to support Processing, Closing and Underwriting functions including but not limited to preparing and completing disclosure packages, completing appraisal requests, flood reviews, forwarding and monitoring receipt of title reviews, complete verification of employment, obtain homeowner’s insurance, index documentation, data enter loan information (if applicable), faxing and following up on documentation if needed. Adherence to regulatory and bank guidelines and department standards is required.
Review submitted documentation to ensure compliance with bank requirements. Access websites as needed. Follow up on documentation issues with customers. Complete review within department standards. Able to process all mortgage or home equity products efficiently.
Enter clear and concise comments, edit information, and document application.
Communicate professionally in oral and written format with internal and external customers regarding status requests, missing information, and/or explanation of required documentation.
Basic knowledge of secondary market/lending programs and guidelines with the ability to apply bank, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance (Fair Lending, Reg B., etc).
Meet or exceed department productivity and quality standards within department turn-time standards.
Supervision: Incumbent performs standard and routine assignments independently to conclusion; unusual problems which may require exceptions to procedures or processes are referred to the supervisor. (Generally applies to technical or skilled worker able to work independently.)

Qualifications

High School or Equivalent (GED) required.
Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree preferred.
Time management and ability to meet deadlines is critical to this position. Attention to detail and organizational skills are required. Requires work in a fast pace environment with the ability to multitask.
2-3 years proficient in PC skills.
2-3 years work experience in either an office or retail environment.
2-3 years knowledge of DTI and LTV ratios with ability to decipher loan documentation and related reports and/or websites.
2-3 years experience in oral and written communication with internal and external customers.

Manage, coach, and motivate the HLS mortgage/equity production team. Provide leadership and direction and promote teamwork and professionalism. Perform and /or coordinate training of new team members.
Review discrepancies in work performed by other departments that impact loan application turn time and estimated closing dates. Recommend actions to resolve or correct discrepancies.
Perform essential functions required to supervise in manager’s absence.
Perform special projects as requested.

Qualifications

High School or Equivalent (GED) required.
Associate Degree and/or Bachelor Degree preferred Or 3-5 years previous supervisory experience.
3-5 years of previous equity/mortgage experience.
3-5 years of previous management experience.
5 years of processing/ closing experience with detailed knowledge of loan documentation and products; familiar with lending guidelines.
2 years of Knowledge of bank, state and federal compliance regulations.

 This position is responsible for providing analytics and modeling for the Home Lending Solutions (HLS) Sales and Distribution channels.  The incumbent will be responsible for tracking and analyzing productivity and capacity of the HLS sales channels, including analysis by geography and market, loan product and purpose, and lead sources.    Analysis will include projections in line with recruiting plans and market conditions, as well as capacity and resource optimization for the Direct sales channel.
 Lead complex business analysis to support Business Development and Analytics and its business partners.  Must Design, propose and execute complex analysis using business intelligence and data mining techniques under minimal supervision of a Business Manager.      



Lead issue specific analysis as part of a larger business problem. 

Write full requirements for analysis of overall business problem, separating specific issues and hypothesis to be tested.  Detail analysis and flow of report to be executed by other analysts in the team

Define timelines, deliverables, and tasks for different analysts and colleagues in the project team.

Communicate results in visual appealing format, provide interpretation and next steps of the analysis. 

During project execution communicate delivery expectations, manage project execution and completion.

Extract and manipulate data for creation and advanced statistic or quantitative analysis of productivity of sales, across multiple distribution channels, including dimensions for geography, loan product and purpose, and lead sources.   Measure and evaluate opportunities or risks associated with this analysis.

Create analysis using multi-dimensional database analytics tools

Retrieve and organize data relevant to analysis on hand

Create and executes programs in SAS/ SQL to rationally and efficiently extract information from large datasets

Measure and evaluate capacity and potential capacity of direct sales across various products and lead sources.  Assist with projections for load balancing and source optimization.

Contributes to create requirements for data warehousing and Database Development

Develop statistical , financial and operations research solutions for business problems

Deliver results in presentation ready format using MS Office or other presentation software

Create business actionable hypothesis for specific issues, check prior knowledge acceptance with customers and communicate with key stakeholders

Review and assure accuracy, consistency and theoretical soundness of analysis performed by other analysts or customers

Uses descriptive profiling and exploratory data mining; to create advanced analytics solutions leveraging statistical and financial modeling

Execute statistical, Operations Research, or other advanced data manipulation designed by Lead Analyst.

Provide modeling and analysis to support compensation planning and decisioning. for sales groups.

Provide advice and technical support all issues related to implementation and automation.  Analyze process performance and recommend enhancements

Prioritize tasks and multi-task to deliver on time multiple projects

Support strategic planning efforts by providing thought leadership and analysis

Describe business problem, sample and bias issues, deliverable time frame and database implications analysis required.

Promote engagement with the business by demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm when handling requests for analysis and reports

Actively engage with the broader team(s) on projects, requests, events, workouts etc. taking leadership role as required

Engage with facilities partners as necessary regarding HLS sales staffing.

 
 

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree required, Masters degree preferred
5 years experience conducting quantitative, financial or business analysis
1+ years management/ supervisory experience
Ability to lead small teams of customers and colleagues.  Divide large business problems into smaller issues, propose hypotheses and analyses to disprove or approve them.  Allocate analysis to other team members.
Financial analysis, including strong understanding of P&L, profitability drivers, allocations, activity based costs.  
Communication Skills: ability to present complicated analytical material in a concise and compelling manner to C-level managers
Experience with SQL (various flavors)
Strong desktop computer skills including  spreadsheets, databases, and word processing (MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Proven skills in data extraction, manipulation and presentation
Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
Experience developing reports
Ability to translate data into information
Creativity; able to articulate ideas and concepts in visually interesting and persuasive ways
